fluidOps and HIGHFLEET enter Strategic Partnership  fluidOps logo

WALLDORF, Germany – fluid Operations (fluidOps™), a leader in cloud computing and semantic technologies, and HIGHFLEET,  a software product and solutions firm for semantic data integration and ontology-based deductive databases, today announced the beginning of a long term cooperation in the field of information management.

Dr. Andreas Eberhart, Managing Director at fluid Operations emphasizes the value of this partnership: „ By combining HIGHFLEET’s ontology-based deductive databases with fluidOps’ open platform for intelligent information management, Information Workbench™, customers receive systems that not only efficiently answer high-value queries but enable extensive visual exploration. “

fluidOps’ Information Workbench provides a flexible and extensible widget-based user interface for integrating and connecting data from different sources and uses novel interaction paradigms to search, visualize and explore interrelationships of data. „Users will especially benefit from the capabilities for visual exploration of associated data delivered through Information Workbench,” states, Michael Davis, President and CEO of HIGHFLEET.

“Together with HIGHFLEET’s mature software with unparalleled performance in its deductive databases and semantic federation solution, users are now able to get the answers they really want and avoid expensive, brittle, heavy weight applications that struggle to get value from traditional information systems”, states Dr. Eberhart, fluid Operations.

HIGHFLEET and PURUS Technologies to Lead Next Generation Enterprise Decision Management

BALTIMORE — (BUSINESS WIRE) — HIGHFLEET Inc. (formerly Ontology Works Inc.), a semantic technology company located in Baltimore, Maryland, today announced a partnership with PURUS Technologies Inc. (PURUS) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada that both companies promise will lead the next generation of Enterprise Decision Management.

The partnership between HIGHFLEET and PURUS will integrate HIGHFLEET's flagship ontology-based deductive database software with its highly efficient inference capability as well as HIGHFLEET's Semantic Federation Solution for legacy databases with PURUS' Decision Catalyst Framework. This combination will create a revolutionary approach to Enterprise Decision Management.

HIGHFLEET's ontology-based deductive databases change the information management landscape by providing systems that efficiently answer high-value queries. This requires relating information in complex chains of inference in order to get the answers needed, a task at which HIGHFLEET's products excel. The ability to do enormous amounts of inference quickly means that users don't need to be domain experts. "Users can ask about something, rather than simply for something, moving beyond data retrieval to knowledge discovery," states, Michael Davis, President and CEO of HIGHFLEET. By placing the business logic in the deductive database itself, HIGHFLEET creates systems that do not require the expensive, brittle applications that traditional databases require. "With our software, the enterprise can get the answers to complex strategic and tactical questions that were hard or impossible to obtain from traditional systems," continued Mr. Davis.

"Having achieved rapid query response doing inference over complex ontologies (models) and large data sets, Ontology Works' deductive databases make traditional relational databases obsolete for high-value answers to the difficult questions that drive innovation and crucial decision making," explains Mr. Davis.

Using HIGHFLEET's inference capability in its deductive database products and its Semantic Federation of existing databases, Purus' Decision Catalyst software delivers an unprecedented level of intelligence to the enterprise data that feeds its Decision Surface. "The HIGHFLEET technology gives us the ability to change the Enterprise Decision Management game", states Jim Gibson, President of PURUS. "By creating semantically aware decision scenarios that can be simply created, persisted and shared, our customers can quickly get answers to the hard questions that drive important strategic and tactical decisions."

By persisting these decision scenarios, organizations reduce latency and create new decision assets that can be leveraged, reused and understood by others.
